MEXICO CITY




This is a city branding system designed for Mexico City, primarily aimed at showcasing the city's rich history and cultural charm. My main inspiration is drawn from the vibrant and ornate traditional garments and fabrics of Mexico City. The unique patterns and colors on these textiles are not only beautiful but also emblematic. 

I have conceptualized and visualized this idea into an array of distinctive patterns, extending its reach. Through this series of designs, I hope to capture and convey the essence and beauty of Mexico City, thereby attracting more tourists.


Logo SystemThe logo features an uppercase "M," representing Mexico City. Its shape is inspired by traditional Mexican textiles and modern architecture. It pays homage to the city's rich cultural heritage while showcasing its contemporary aspects.

The square on the right symbolizes technology, representing the progress and future of Mexico City.

The diamond shape on the left features a classic pattern found on Mexican textiles, signifying the city's 
history and traditions.

The central circle represents the city's inclusivity and vibrancy towards various cultures.

Color Palette Our color palette is inspired by the culture, clothing and food of Mexico City. The exotic green, pink, and the vibrant orange is used as the main color, combined with other bright colors and tinted neutrals makes a more diverse palette. These ten colors are to be used with all material, including print and digital assets. Any combination may be used. Designated colors may not be edited or changed in any way.

Pattern System Our patterns come from the geometric shapes in the logo, which are formed by repetition and overlapping. It can be used as a graphic element or in the background. If used 
with a colored background, pattern color should contrast. 

Overlapping diamond shapes, circles and squares in the designated color palette are used as part of the brand system. Shape must remain as diamond, circle, and square, no other shape form may be used.
